UN geological experts inspect Zhangjiajie's Huanglong Cave, praising its scenery and local customs

On 7 8, Ibrahim Kum and Tuncer Demir, UNESCO Global Geoparks evaluation experts, visited the Huanglong Cave Scenic Area of Zhangjiajie Global Geopark. They were delighted to write a tribute praising the stunning scenery and the kindness of the local people.

Around 10 AM, the inspection team arrived at the Huanglong Cave Scenic Area to conduct an in-depth assessment of the protection and utilization of the cave and other natural resources in the region. During their visit, two UN experts enthusiastically experienced local intangible cultural heritage projects, including Tujia tie-dyeing and bamboo pole dancing, gaining firsthand insight into the unique charm of Zhangjiajie's ethnic minority customs.

During a break in the inspection, two UN geologists visited Huanglong Cave Scenic Area and left inscriptions. According to the accompanying translator, Ibrahim Kumu's inscription expressed that the people here are kind and the scenery is beautiful. Tuncer Demir thanked the local people for their warm hospitality and wished for an even brighter future.

Two United Nations experts visited Zhangjiajie Global Geopark for an assessment. From 7 to 5, the expert team inspected scenic spots including Shui Rao Si Men, Jinbian Stream, and Yuanjiajie, and visited Longweiba Community, Guaiyao Mei Cultural Tourism Base, and Suoxi Central School.
