Learn through exploration, grow through challenges. On 8/6, more than 20 parent-child families from Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, and other regions arrived at Zhangjiajie's Huanglong Cave Scenic Area to kick off a speleology-themed educational adventure. The summer cave exploration program remains in high demand daily, welcoming numerous family learning groups from across the country. Reservations are now fully booked through the end of 8.

The Caving Exploration Study Program is located in the non-public areas of Tianxian Palace and Huaguoshan on the third floor of Huanglong Cave. Apart from basic walkways and safety railings, no landscape or street lighting has been installed in these zones. Participants must wear safety helmets and headlamps to retrace the path of the original cave explorers through the dark, quiet environment. By finding clues and completing challenge tasks, they will unlock the geological secrets of this million-year-old cave system. The journey covers both land and water routes and lasts approximately two hours.

"This expedition not only helped me overcome my instinctive fear of the dark and unknown, but also gave me a vivid, hands-on understanding of concepts like cave formation and stalactite growth that I had only read about before." Zhang from Beijing said excitedly. It was his first time participating in a caving adventure. The experience of navigating an unfamiliar, pitch-black world felt both thrilling and novel. These tangible sensations, combined with geological knowledge about caves, have left a lasting impression on him.

"Cave exploration is a novel study tour model. This high-challenge, high-adrenaline, immersive experience has gained strong market recognition since its launch," said a representative of the Huanglong Cave Scenic Area. Beyond cave exploration, the scenic area currently offers mature study tour products including authentic farming and folk culture experiences, intangible cultural heritage craft workshops, and outdoor labor practice. These programs can be customized and flexibly combined to meet specific client needs. The representative added: "Cave exploration was this summer's most popular single product. Since 7, it has hosted over 200 study tour groups, and clients who choose combination packages typically include this core course."
